“Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned
for there you have been, and there you will always long to return.”
- Leonardo da Vinci
Engine cylinder head temperatures (CHTs) would run hotter than I liked during our
hot Florida summers. To help mitigate this, and with some trial and error, I replaced
the original baffle system with a custom made aluminum plenum. I completed it by
using high heat tape to make an air tight seal around the edges. CHTs dropped by
almost 25 degrees with this setup, a nice improvement over the original baffles.
